Our client is a well-established manufacturing organization with a longstanding presence in Southwestern Ontario, is seeking a Controller to join its finance leadership team.

The Controller will oversee the organization's accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, costing, and internal control functions while leading a team of finance professionals.

This is a highly visible role that combines technical accounting expertise, people leadership, and business partnering. The successful candidate will work closely with operational leaders and executive management to drive financial performance, support strategic decision-making, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of accounting and finance professionals
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting processes
• Prepare and present financial results to senior leadership
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning activities
• Analyze operational and financial performance and provide meaningful recommendations
• Maintain the integrity of financial systems, internal controls, and reporting processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, and audit requirements
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory accounting, capital asset management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll-related activities
• Drive process improvements, reporting enhancements, and cost reduction initiatives
• Partner with leaders across operations, production, supply chain, and administration to support business objectives
• Serve as a key contact for internal and external auditors

• CPA designation required
• Progressive finance and accounting leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
• Experience with costing, inventory accounting, capital management, and financial analysis
• Previous leadership experience managing and developing teams
• Experience working with integrated ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong communication and business partnering capabilities
