Robert Half is working with a client to find a skilled Controller to join their team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end/year-end close
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Manage cost accounting processes, including inventory, labor, overhead, and job costing
• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
• Monitor project and contract financial performance within construction operations
• Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements
• Develop and mentor accounting staff while improving processes and reporting efficiency
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, project managers, and executive leadership

The chosen candidate will possess the following:

• CPA preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership responsibility
• Previous experience in both manufacturing and or construction industries
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, job costing, percentage-of-completion accounting, and revenue recognition
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced financial reporting tools
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
