Our client is a well-established and growing food manufacturer known for bringing quality products from production to consumers' tables. As the business continues to expand across manufacturing, distribution, and retail channels, they are looking for a Controller who is equal parts strategic leader, trusted business partner, and process improvement champion.

What You'll Be Doing

As Controller, you'll oversee the day-to-day finance function while working closely with the CFO on strategic initiatives that support a growing organization including:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a collaborative accounting team.

• Oversee full-cycle accounting, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close across multiple entities.

• Prepare financial statements, management reporting, and variance analysis.

• Manage cost accounting, inventory, and production costing to support manufacturing and distribution operations.

• Monitor cash flow, forecasting, and working capital.

• Coordinate year-end audits and assist with tax working papers.

• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes.

• Partner with operations, production, supply chain, and retail leaders to provide financial insights.

• Lead process improvement initiatives, ERP implementation, automation projects, and finance system enhancements.

• Support new retail locations, entity onboarding, and other growth initiatives.

We're Looking For Someone Who Is/Has

• CPA designation.

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years leading finance teams within manufacturing, food production, consumer goods, distribution, or another inventory-driven environment.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, full-cycle accounting, and cost accounting.

• Experience with inventory valuation, production costing, and operational finance.

• Proven success leading ERP implementations, automation, or process improvement initiatives.

• A collaborative leader who enjoys developing people and building strong cross-functional relationships.

• A hands-on, solutions-oriented professional who thrives in a growing, fast-paced environment.
