    Description

    We’re partnering with a well-established, growth-focused organization seeking a Category Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of product categories. Reporting to senior leadership within the supply chain function, this role is responsible for driving category performance, executing strategic initiatives, and ensuring strong alignment with overall business goals.

    The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and confident managing vendor relationships, product strategies, and financial performance. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to step into a visible, high-impact role with room to grow.


    Responsibilities

    Lead category strategy, focusing on revenue growth, margin improvement, and market competitiveness.

    Develop and execute annual category plans including product assortment, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.

    Conduct ongoing market, customer, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

    Collaborate cross‑functionally with supply chain, sales, finance, and merchandising teams to support execution of category initiatives.

    Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to optimize product performance and partnership value.

    Provide clear merchandising direction and ensure consistent communication across internal teams.

    Present updates, category insights, and recommendations during internal business reviews and cross‑functional meetings.

    Take ownership of category performance, demonstrating strong leadership, accountability, and proactive decision-making.


    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 3–5 years in category management, buying, or procurement.
    • Strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
    • Solid financial acumen, including experience analyzing category P& L and translating data into actionable insights.
    • Strong understanding of market trends and customer behavior, with a track record of identifying growth opportunities.
    • Proven experience developing both short- and long-term strategies aligned with broader business priorities.
    • Innovative mindset—someone who is curious, adaptable, and always looking to enhance competitive advantage.
    • Excellent analytical and data management skills with high attention to detail.
    • Creative problem-solver with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with at least 3–5 years in procurement, category management, or buying.
    • Strong communication skills with proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Solid understanding of financial principles, including experience analyzing category performance and deriving actionable insights.
    • In-depth knowledge of market trends and customer behaviours, with a history of identifying growth opportunities.
    • Demonstrated ability to create and execute strategies that align with broader business goals.
    • Innovative thinker who is adaptable and consistently seeks to enhance competitive advantage.
    • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail in managing data and reports.
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with experience managing multiple priorities effectively.
