Mission
WHAT TO EXPECT
As a Buyer, you will report to the Director of Procurement & Logistics. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that production has the necessary materials and supplies to meet external customer orders. Your challenges will include optimizing cost reductions, reducing single-source products and negotiating prices on materials. As a buyer, you'll also be responsible for developing new markets, bringing technical knowledge to the purchasing department and acting as a bridge between it and R&D. In your role, you'll be called upon to collaborate with employees from other departments such as R&D, production and sales.

You will be responsible for obtaining the best prices and purchasing conditions, in line with the company's cost reduction initiatives and annual targets
You will negotiate the structure of contracts with new suppliers, including their terms and conditions
You will act as the company's representative with suppliers, maintaining good business relationships
You will provide sales support for customer quotations and price negotiations, advising on market trends and risks
You will be responsible for keeping the various databases up to date (MRP parameters, price list, items and suppliers), when necessary
You will handle purchase requisitions and purchase requests sent by e-mail by internal customers.
Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and procedures
Profile
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Here's an overview of what we're looking for in our future colleague:
You have a Certificate in Supply Chain Management
You have 5 to 8 years' relevant experience, plus experience in a manufacturing field
You are familiar with the plastics or rubber industry and have a knowledge of chemistry, which is an asset for us
You are interested in growing within the company and in management;
You have computer skills (including Office suite) and knowledge of the SAP system.
You see yourself as a multitasker and all-rounder.
You have a solid understanding of the supplier negotiation process.
You have good judgment and decisiveness.
You're meticulous, structured and able to manage priorities well.
You consider yourself bilingual (French and English) since we have to communicate with customers all over the world
WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER
Your work schedule will be daytime, Monday to Friday
You will benefit from the possibility of flexible working hours (compressed schedule / telecommuting)
You may be required to travel outside the plant to visit suppliers and participate in trade events. Make sure you have a valid passport!
