Our client is a well-established company with 75+ years of success, supporting the construction and building systems industry. They are growing and looking to add a Buyer to their team.

As the Buyer, you’ll play a key role in keeping business running smoothly by ensuring products are ordered, tracked, and delivered on time.

You’ll manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and proactively stay ahead of inventory needs.

✅ What You’ll Be Doing

• Process and release purchase orders aligned to customer demand
• Verify supplier invoices for accuracy (pricing, quantities, delivery)
• Follow up on open orders to ensure on-time delivery
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or disruptions
• Review and maintain competitive supplier pricing
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and ERP data
• Partner with Quality on supplier and product issues
• Track and reduce excess / obsolete inventory
• Monitor supplier performance (delivery, cost, quality)
• Identify opportunities to optimize spend and improve supply flow
• Analyze purchasing data to proactively mitigate supply chain risks

🔍 What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of purchasing / procurement experience
• Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
• ERP experience
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• SCMP, CSCP or similar designation an asset
