Our client, a well-established and growing organization within the agriculture and food production sector, is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their accounting team. This is a hands-on role supporting day-to-day financial operations in a fast-paced, seasonal environment with a high volume of transactions and employees.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys variety in their role and working closely with operations.

Key Responsibilities

·        Manage full cycle accounts payable, including processing invoices and issuing payments (CAD and USD)

·        Perform credit card reconciliations and assist with bank reconciliations

·        Support payroll processing for a large employee base (200+ employees)

·        Assist with accounts receivable and collections activities as needed

·        Prepare and distribute internal reports related to sales and expenses

·        Maintain tracking and documentation for inventory, purchasing, and operational costs

·        Post journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance

·        Support month-end and year-end processes, including audit preparation

·        Assist with HST/GST filings

·        Provide administrative and filing support as required

Qualifications

·        1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting

·        Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field

·        Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar systems)

·        Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume transactional work

·        Comfortable working in a fast-paced, seasonal environment

·        Excellent organizational and communication skills
