One of our banking clients is looking for a Bilingual HR Coordinator (Background Check, Workday, ATS)
Length: 12 months contract with the possibility of extension and conversion to full time employment
Location: Canada (Remote – PST)
ROLE MANDATE:
The specialist is in support of the Talent Acquisition hiring activities, from generating offer letters to closely following pre-employment verifications, while supporting recruiters and working closely with other teams. This role is virtual and, in most part, supports Canadian activities.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
• Initiate background checks packages
• Post offers follow ups and activities
• Track background checks status daily (DAR is an Excel document received every morning with all PES status) and update the screening tab and activity stream in Workday
• Initiate background checks failure process
• Initiate manuel ticket for hire change: rescind, start date change, etc.
• Moving candidates to Hire in Workday for their EIN to get created (task comes in once the candidate has completed Gov IDs identification in Workday, so very randomly in time but at early stage)
• Initiate several manual reminders for candidate to complete steps
• Troubles-shooting: candidate having trouble pushing task through
• Act as the middle person in between the recruiter and PEO (Pre-Employment Operations) when needed for Pre-employment screening matters. For example: problem with the external vendor (Sterling) or checks taking too long without an obvious reason
• Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy
• Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues
• Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders and ensures alignment
• Monitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issues
• Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting
• Supports day to day operational processes, program management activities & administrative tasks
• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed
MUST-HAVE SKILLS:
• Fully Bi Lingual [French and English]
• Typically between 1-3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be tech savvy and able to adapt to new technologies
• Strong prioritization skills - must be able to independently handle their workload
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience
• Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth
• Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth
• Influence skills - In-depth
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:
• Previous experience with Workday
• Previous Applicant Tracking System experience
INTERVIEW PROCESS:
• 1-2 interviews 30 mins each with HM and a colleague on camera
