Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join an environmental organization in Calgary, Alberta on a Contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume AP environment and enjoys working with invoice processing, reconciliations, and vendor communications.

Responsibilities:

• Process and enter invoices accurately into the accounting system.

• Review coding, match supporting documentation, and obtain required approvals.

• Work with finance and project teams to resolve coding and cost allocation questions.

• Assist with cheque and electronic payment runs.

• Reconcile vendor accounts and investigate discrepancies.

• Complete corporate credit card and expense report reconciliations.

• Support employee expense processing and documentation review.

• Assist with AP workflow improvements and support systems such as Maestro and Sage Intacct.

• Maintain organized records and respond to vendor and internal payment inquiries.

Requirements:

• Previous accounts payable or accounting support experience with a strong understanding of invoice processing and payment workflows.

• Experience with invoice coding, reconciliations, matching procedures, and payment preparation.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a task-focused environment.

• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, finance teams, and project stakeholders.

• Experience with accounting systems; Sage Intacct, Intacct ERP, Maestro, or similar platforms are assets.

• Basic to intermediate Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables.

• Familiarity with cheque runs, EFT processing, credit card reconciliations, and vendor reconciliations.

• Ability to manage changing workloads and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
