    Description

    We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our clients team on a short-term contract basis in Abbotsford, British Columbia. In this role, you will handle essential accounts payable tasks, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with internal procedures. This is a contract position requiring strong attention to detail and proficiency in Sage 300.


    Responsibilities:

    • Process weekly accounts payable, handling approximately 50 invoices with accuracy and timeliness.

    • Review invoices for proper coding and compliance with organizational standards.

    • Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all balances are accurate and up to date.

    • Enter and manage expenses for credit cards, ensuring receipts are properly accounted for.

    • Utilize Sage 300 software to perform daily accounting tasks efficiently.

    • Maintain organized records and documentation of all transactions.

    • Collaborate with team members to resolve invoice discrepancies and address queries.

    • Assist with check runs and payment processing as needed.

    • Perform data entry tasks to update financial records and ensure accuracy.

    • Support the team with any additional accounts payable tasks as required.


    • Minimum of one year of experience in accounts payable or a related role.
    • Proficiency in Sage 300 accounting software is essential.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple invoices and transactions.
    • Familiarity with account reconciliation and processing credit card expenses.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and invoice review.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
    • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
    • Effective communication skills for liaising with vendors and team members.
