    Description

    We are looking for an Accounting & Payroll Clerk to join a busy team in Markham, Ontario and provide reliable support across day-to-day financial and payroll activities. This position is well suited to someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with transactional data in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will help maintain accurate records, support timely payment and billing processes, and contribute to the smooth administration of accounting operations.

    Responsibilities:
    • Process payroll information accurately and on schedule while maintaining organized supporting records.
    • Reconcile account balances and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial data is complete and correct.
    • Manage accounts payable activities, including reviewing invoices, coding expenses, and preparing payments.
    • Support accounts receivable functions by issuing invoices, tracking incoming payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
    • Enter financial and payroll data into internal systems with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Use SAP and Microsoft Excel to update records, prepare reports, and assist with routine accounting analysis.
    • Review billing information for accuracy and resolve issues related to invoice processing or payment status.
    • Assist with administrative accounting tasks and provide support during reporting periods or process updates as needed.
    • Experience handling account reconciliations within an accounting or bookkeeping environment.
    • Practical knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and invoice processing.
    • Ability to process data entry tasks accurately while managing multiple deadlines.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for tracking, reviewing, and organizing financial information.
    • Hands-on experience using SAP or a comparable enterprise accounting system.
    • Familiarity with payroll administration and maintaining confidential employee pay records.
    • Strong organizational skills and careful attention to detail in financial documentation.
