Our Niagara Region client is seeking a CPA-designated accounting professional to join their finance team as Accounting Manager. Reporting directly to the Divisional Controller, this role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and providing meaningful financial analysis to operations and senior leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on CPA who enjoys partnering with the business, leading reporting processes, mentoring staff, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the preparation, review, and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Prepare and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
• Partner closely with operations and construction teams to provide financial insights and decision support.
• Coordinate year-end audit requirements and act as a key liaison with external auditors.
• Assist with corporate tax filings and government reporting requirements.
• Review account reconciliations and support the integrity of the general ledger.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, enhanced controls, and system efficiencies.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a General Accountant while supporting broader finance team initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• CPA designation required.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end close processes, budgeting, forecasting, and audit requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across finance and operations teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
