Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking a hands-on accounting leader to take ownership of financial reporting, cash management, reconciliations, and operational accounting. This highly visible role will partner closely with Sales, Service, Collections, Operations, and senior leadership to ensure strong financial controls, optimize working capital, and support business growth.

What You'll Own

• Lead the full month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, account reconciliations, accruals, foreign exchange transactions, and general ledger integrity.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and multi-entity financial activities, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Manage daily treasury and cash management functions, including cash positioning, cash flow forecasting, borrowing requirements, liquidity management, bank relationships, and foreign currency exposure.
• Monitor working capital performance, supporting collections, receivables management, cash conversion initiatives, and process improvements across the business.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reporting packages, cash flow reporting, profitability analysis, and operational performance metrics.
• Partner closely with Sales and Service leadership to evaluate business performance, customer profitability, revenue trends, and operational initiatives.
• Support revenue recognition, deferred revenue accounting, warranty reserves, and transactional review within a high-volume commercial environment.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, internal controls, reconciliations, reporting accuracy, and financial systems.
• Coordinate audit, tax, banking, compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements while maintaining strong governance and financial controls.
• Mentor and develop team members while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused finance culture.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA designation preferred (or actively pursuing designation).
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience within a sales, service, distribution, equipment, industrial, or multi-location organization.
• Strong experience with cash management, treasury activities, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close.
• Proven ability to manage complex balance sheet accounts, intercompany transactions, and working capital initiatives.
• Experience partnering with commercial teams, including Sales, Customer Service, Operations, or Collections.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP and financial reporting systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.
