Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to support the Finance team for a 4 month contract in the Greater Victoria area.

Reporting to the CFO & Controller your responsibilities will include:

• Provide oversight of accounting staff and day-to-day accounting

• Undertake month-end close and assist in the preparation of financial statements. 

• Clean up various accounting matters including GL account reconciliations 

• Document current business processes and assist with the implementation of improvements

• Assist with the implementation of new ERP system

• Other ad hoc assignments

To be considered for this opportunity, you are a designated CPA with 5+ years experience where it’s a combination of public practice and progressive accounting experience in industry

In addition, the following skills and experience are desired:

• Full cycle accounting experience with GL account reconciliation, month-end close and financial statement preparation experience

• Experience with documentation of business processes.

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to work very independently.

• Detail-oriented and accountable
