Reporting to the Controller, the Finance Manager will play a hands-on role within the finance function, supporting day-to-day financial operations with particular focus on Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. This individual will be responsible for financial reporting, month-end close, internal process development, and cross-functional partnership with operational teams to drive financial visibility and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Close

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Analyze financial results, variances, and key performance indicators, providing insights to the Controller

Accounting Operations

• Review and oversee day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, and general ledger entries
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Support the ongoing development and enforcement of internal controls

Systems and Process Improvement

• Assist with ERP system implementation and optimization
• Identify and drive process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and scalability

Audit and Compliance

• Support year-end audits and liaise with external accountants
• Ensure all financial processes meet regulatory and policy requirements

Team Development

• Mentor and support junior finance team members as the organization scales

Qualifications and Experience

• 3 to 4 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Experience in construction, project-based, or inventory-driven environments is strongly preferred
• Strong foundation in financial reporting, month-end close
• Exposure to internal controls and process improvement initiatives
• Strong ERP system experience; familiarity with implementation or optimization is an asset
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis
• Public accounting background or experience managing audits
