A well-established Edmonton-based industrial/manufacturing company is seeking an Accounting Administrator to join its team. Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable

• Prepare and process customer invoices
• Generate monthly customer invoice summaries
• Apply customer payments and process bank deposits
• Manage collections and follow up on outstanding accounts
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate customer records

Accounts Payable

• Match, code, and process vendor invoices
• Process employee expense reports and mileage claims
• Reconcile corporate credit card statements and receipts
• Prepare and process cheque runs and electronic payments
• Process supplier deposits and maintain accurate vendor records
• Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies

Administrative Support

• Perform data entry and maintain accounting records
• Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail
• Maintain electronic and physical filing systems
• Coordinate and host virtual team meetings
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Support ad hoc accounting and administrative projects as required

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of accounting experience
• Experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• Experience with collections and customer service
• Working knowledge of Canadian accounting practices
• Accounting diploma or related education considered an asset
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Experience

• Manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or service-based environments
• Three-way matching
• Inventory accounting
• Multi-currency transactions (CAD/USD)
