Description
Responsibilities:
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Manage accounts payable activity, including reviewing invoices, preparing payment batches, and coordinating cheque runs on a scheduled basis.
• Record and reconcile sales-related transactions, including direct-to-consumer activity and selected accounts receivable tasks.
• Process royalty payments and advance payments, ensuring monthly commitments and higher-volume peak periods are completed correctly.
• Prepare and submit routine month-end filings, employee expense reimbursements, and corporate card expense records within required timelines.
• Generate recurring financial and operational reports using Excel, including data analysis supported by pivots and other reporting tools.
• Assist with document collection and financial support materials required for year-end review activities.
• Work within accounting and inventory systems to maintain transaction accuracy and support smooth financial processing across affiliated entities.
• Minimum 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience in a high-volume environment.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance.
• Strong hands-on experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, invoicing, and general accounting operations.
• Proficiency with accounting platforms such as Simply Accounting and experience working with inventory-related systems.
• Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build and analyze reports using pivot tables.
• Experience handling cheque runs, expense processing, and monthly financial tasks with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, learn new systems quickly, and manage changing priorities with limited supervision
