Our Delta-based client is seeking an Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the ownership team, this is a hands-on, full-cycle accounting role responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting function across the business and supporting a number of related entities. This is an in-office role, five days per week, within a fast-paced environment, working closely with ownership and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing full-cycle AP/AR
• Maintaining vendor and customer accounts and monitoring collections
• Processing payments (cheques, EFT, wires) and managing cash flow
• Preparing payroll, CRA deductions, and WorkSafe remittances
• Handling GST, PST, and corporate tax filings
• Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
• Preparing journal entries, including inventory and foreign exchange adjustments
• Producing monthly financial statements and reports
• Calculating commissions and rebates
• Supporting year-end close and audit process
• Maintaining and improving internal accounting procedures
• Managing accounting for a number of related entities

Requirements

• Accounting degree or diploma
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong communication skills
• Hands-on approach with the ability to operate independently
• Ability to prioritize and adapt within a fast-paced environment
• Genuine business mindset with an interest in supporting overall operations

Nice to Have

• Experience within a product-based, distribution, or manufacturing environment
• Experience using QuickBooks Desktop
