Account Executive

Description
Robert Half Canada is partnering with a client in the wealth management industry to identify an experienced Account Executive. This role is focused on business development, relationship management, and growth across Ontario and Atlantic Canada.
The successful candidate will bring experience within wealth management or financial services, along with a strong ability to build relationships, identify opportunities, and support long-term growth initiatives. This position requires a professional who is comfortable engaging with experienced financial advisors and advisory teams and can represent the organization effectively in the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development efforts across Ontario and Atlantic Canada
- Manage the full lifecycle of relationship development, from prospecting through transition
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective financial advisors and advisory teams
- Communicate the organization’s value proposition to potential partners
- Develop relationships within the financial advisory community to identify opportunities
- Partner with internal leadership and operational teams to support onboarding and transition activities
- Represent the organization at meetings, industry events, and advisor engagements
- Contribute to growth strategy and support long-term business development initiatives
- Navigate complex recruitment and partnership discussions with professionalism and sound judgment
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of experience in wealth management, financial services, advisor distribution, or business development
- Demonstrated success in sales, recruitment, or relationship management within the wealth management sector
- Understanding of advisor economics, independent advisor models, and dealer platforms
- Experience working with financial advisors, advisory teams, or books of business
- Established professional network within the advisor or wealth management community
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders
- Willingness to travel for in-person meetings across the assigned territory
Required Experience
- Significant experience in wealth management or advisor distribution
- Proven ability to build credibility with experienced financial advisors
- Demonstrated success in business development and sales leadership
- Strong industry relationships within the advisor community
- Ability to manage opportunities in a professional, consultative manner
