Dawson City is a village in the Yukon Territory that sits at the confluence of the Yukon River and the Klondike River within the furrow of Tintina.
Founded at the turn of the 20th century, the city has a history intimately linked to the Klondike gold rush. This boomtown will be the capital of the Yukon until 1952. It remains the second largest city in the territory with a population of approximately 1,500 inhabitants.
Dawson City's current commerce is primarily focused on tourism and gold mining.
