About the Company :

Our client is a well-respected financial institution and they are seeking an exceptional Senior Accountant (IFRS) - Financial Reporting to join their team on a 12-month contract.

This opportunity is hybrid, with expectations of 2 days in-office and 3 days work-from-home.


The role: 
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and financial statement disclosures, adhering to IFRS
- Create and refine process of reconciliations and reporting of daily transactions
- Reconciliation of bank and other GL accounts and prepare adjusting journal entries as required
- Investigate cost and variances across Finance teams
- Assess internal controls over financial reporting and perform testing
- Ad hoc reporting

Skills:
- Designated accountant (CPA or equivalent) with 3+ years experience in accounting and/or financial reporting as well as financial services experience is preferred
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in IFRS
- Experience with monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and financial statement disclosures.
- Exceptional communication skills
- Solid technology and analytical abilities
- Aptitude for finance systems and MS Excel
