Position: Senior Financial Analyst
Location: Toronto
Quantum is recruiting on behalf of the Ontario Government for 3 Senior Financial Analyst opportunities commencing ASAP! Please note, these contracts are 6 months to start.
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you'll also be expected to demonstrate proficiency in financial systems, data management, and project management. This entails effectively leveraging financial software and tools to streamline processes, ensure data accuracy, and optimize financial reporting. You'll likely be involved in managing financial databases, extracting and manipulating data, and ensuring data integrity for analysis and reporting purposes.
Moreover, your role may encompass overseeing financial projects, which could range from system implementations to process improvements. This involves coordinating cross-functional teams, defining project objectives, developing timelines, and ensuring successful project execution within budget and timeframe constraints.
Furthermore, you'll play a crucial role in financial consolidation and effectiveness initiatives. This involves aggregating financial data from various sources, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring consistency in financial reporting across different business units or departments. Your expertise in financial consolidation practices will contribute to improving the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting processes, ultimately enhancing the organization's overall financial effectiveness and decision-making capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Accounting designation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial analysis or related roles
- Experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), investment banking, consulting, or public accounting can be beneficial
- Strong analytical abilities are essential for interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and making informed recommendations
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis
