Position: Operations Director – Fleet and Mechanical Workshop
Location: Drummondville
Salary: Starting from $95,000, negotiable based on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday, on-site position
Job Type: Permanent, reporting to the General Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to fill the role of Operations Director, specializing in strategic fleet management and mechanical operations. Located in Drummondville, this opportunity offers a stimulating environment within a rapidly growing company.
Under the direction of the General Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for strategically overseeing operations while ensuring efficient management of the mechanical workshop.
Job Overview:
As the Operations Director - Fleet and Mechanical Workshop, you will be responsible for strategically managing operations while overseeing mechanical aspects of the fleet. You will work closely with the General Manager to guide the company's strategic vision and ensure long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procedures and policies for the mechanical workshop
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and manage equipment purchases
- Supervise and mentor mechanical teams, including supervisors, technicians, and administrative staff
- Manage departmental administration
- Identify and select suppliers to meet departmental needs
- Monitor various reports closely and intervene when necessary
- Manage departmental expenses and inventory
- Lead and participate in innovation projects in transportation and mechanics
- Contribute to workplace health and safety programs and other strategic initiatives
- Provide recommendations to management to improve departmental efficiency and profitability
Key Requirements:
- Planning Expertise: Experience with ERP systems, proficiency in Excel, and ability to conduct profitability analyses
- Mechanical Knowledge: Experience in supervising mechanical teams, especially in heavy-duty vehicle domains
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle mechanics
- Supervision and administration training
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Strong computer skills
- Negotiation skills
Required Qualities:
- Resourceful and autonomous
- Versatile and self-motivated
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent adaptability
- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
- Energetic, dynamic, and enthusiastic
