Litigation Associate – International Firm - Toronto
Our client, a leading firm in litigation well established internationally, is looking for a seasoned litigation lawyer to join its team based in downtown Toronto.
Do you have more than 6 years of experience in insurance litigation, ideally in the professional and civil liability and indemnity fields ? Are you looking for a new opportunity to foster your career ? This might be the right step to help you move forward and propel your professional advancement.
This opportunity will be your chance to be part of the team of an exceptional partner who works with a sophisticated clientele, with multimillion dollars complex and international cases.
We are looking for an outstanding attorney, just like you.
YOUR ROLE :
In this once-of-a-lifetime opportunity, your responsibilities will include, among others :
• In accordance with partners, take charge of files from initial assessment to trial;
• Advise clients on insurance litigation matters;
• Provide legal analysis and advice;
• Attend examinations, review documents, submit filings to court;
• Work independantly on trials, mediations or other hearings;
• Take part of the business development plan;
• Offer mentorship to junior lawyers;
• Perform pratice management tasks upon request;
• Meet other legal and business priorities as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS :
• Member of the Ontario Bar in good standing;
• A minimum of a 6 years experience in insurance litigation;
• Experience with civil and professional liability and indemnity;
• Demonstrated advocacy abilities and outstanding communication skills;
• Creativity, integrity and rigor.
