Our Victoria client is currently looking for a dynamic and motivated Intermediate Accountant to join their growing finance team.




As the Intermediate Accountant, you will be reporting into the Director of Finance and be responsible for the following:
- Managing full-cycle accounting including journal entries, bank reconciliation, and General Ledger accounts reconciliation
- Closing month-end, quarter-end and year-end and processing complex intercompany reconciliation
- Supporting the preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with both IFRS and ASPE
- Preparing and supporting the filings of corporate tax returns for the various legal entities of the organization across Canada
- Preparing working papers to support internal audits, external audits and other statutory audits
- Collaborating with the finance team and prepare ad hoc reports and tasks such as accounting for IFRS 16 leas




The ideal Intermediate Accountant will be a dedicated and driven accounting professional currently pursuing CPA designation combined with 3+ years of full-cycle accounting work experience and exposure to intercompany reconciliations. The Intermediate Accountant should have excellent Microsoft Excel skills and work experience with ERP systems. Your working knowledge with ERP Navision will be an asset. Prior work experience from public practice is also an asset.
