Description
Position: Data Engineer – Scala and Spark
Location: Hybrid, Toronto
Job Type: 6-month contract

Key Responsibilities:
- Address and solve data-related challenges, particularly those related to scaling and optimization
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient data pipelines and data processing solutions
- Utilize Spark for data processing and manage pipelines effectively
- Employ Scala coding skills to manipulate and transform data, ensuring seamless integration with various systems
- Demonstrate proficiency in SQL to handle complex queries and push data to Snowflake
- Use Scala to write data pipelines, extracting raw data related to user engagement, campaign data, and order data
Requirements:
- Demonstrated expertise in Scala, Spark, and Snowflake over 4-5 years
- Experience with Databricks is nice to have
