Description
- Establish accounting entries (payables, receivables, accruals, cash on hand, investments, prepaid expenses, deferred income, shareholders' equity);
- Perform bookkeeping and accounting entries for numerous entities;
- Prepare month-ends and year-ends;
- Process accounts payable and receivable;
- Prepare bank reconciliations and follow up on bank account balances;
- Follow-up on cash balances with trustees;
- Make bank transfers and produce cheques;
- Prepare government remittance forms and payments;
- Develop working documents for tax return preparation and review;
- Ensure proper filing of supporting documents for all accounting transactions;
- Provide support for the annual audit of portfolio investments;
- Participate in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements for newly acquired and existing portfolio investments.
- Diploma in accounting and management techniques, a certificate in accounting or a bachelor's degree in accounting;
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in bookkeeping/full accounting cycle;
- CPA designation an asset;
- Experience in investment accounting, an asset.
- You are a team player and comfortable working in a growing entity;
- You are able to work on several files at the same time, respecting deadlines;
- You are familiar with ERP and Excel;
- You are fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
