Responsibilities and goals
Reporting to the Senior Business Partner - Human Resources, the incumbent of the Business Partner – Human Resources position is responsible for providing guidance, coaching and necessary support to fulfill the client group’s mandates, which were entrusted to them. The incumbent acts as a partner to managers by providing HR advice, solutions and services adapted to the City’s issues and challenges while being aligned with the strategic vision.
The incumbent’s main responsibilities are as follows:
• Advise and support supervisors and clients in key areas such as: health, safety and wellness in the workplace, labor relations, application of HR policies, recruitment, skills development, etc;
• Participate in the preparation of files to be submitted to various authorities and committees, such as CNESST, TAT, occupational health and safety committees, grievance, and labor relations committees, etc.;
• Develop action plans and propose awareness tools for the prevention of work-related accidents for managers, as to help them fulfill their responsibilities;
• Aid managers in the process of maintaining a healthy work environment;
• Establish a proactive and flexible business relationship with managers to understand their issues and challenges;
• Support managers in the application of human resources policies, procedures, programs and directives and conduct the necessary follow-ups;
• Perform analysis and recommend strategies, operating methods and corrective measures to address the issues raised;
• Ensure that managers’ decisions comply with the interpretation and application rules of collective agreement clauses, administrative frameworks and arbitration decisions;
• Monitor the projects under their responsibility and ensure delivery of the projects according to the established deadlines;
• Perform all other related tasks.

Requirements
- Essential - 3 to 5 years experience
- Essential - bachelor’s degree in human resources management
Knowledge and abilities
- Essential - Frechn (speak and write)
