Automation Programmer, Turnkey.
Are you an electrical or automation engineer or technician who would like to take on a project from start to finish, program the PLCs, manage the automation part of the project and travel (occasionally) to commission the equipment? Are you bilingual with strong communication skills, a Canadian passport and valid driver's licence to travel freely worldwide? Would you like to be compensated fantastically for all of this? If so then our client will want to speak to you. Our client is a growing designer and manufacturer of leading edge automated equipment situated in the West Island of Montreal with a very happy and collaborative work force and culture. They are looking for an electrical or automation engineer with at least 1 year of pertinent experience programming Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs and MMIs. You will take on the automation projects A-Z, working with sales, clients, writing the software programs for PLC and MMI, BOMs, supervise the installation, startup and testing at customer sites with a mechanical engineer team-member (approximately 4 times per year, 1 week at a time), providing customer service and the R&D of new products, Like we said, turnkey, lol.
Compensation: 70k-100k depending on experience, plus yearly company and personal performance (usually ranging from 5-14k per year, plus a travel salary usually ranging 2-3k per trip, over and above everything else).
