Position: Accounting Manager (French, English)
Location: East of Orleans, on site work environment
Salary: Competitive salary to 85K (some flexibility based upon experience) plus group benefits, 3 weeks’ vacation, additional benefits.
A great opportunity to join fast-paced work environment providing expertise in full cycle accounting and managing a payroll of 150 employees. Reporting to the Financial Controller this key role oversees accounting operations supporting, producing monthly financial statements, end-of-month entries and report discrepancies to senior management. Equally responsible for executing the payroll function, supervising a small team in accounts payable and accounts receivables.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements and explain results and variances.
- Prepare month-end entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank accounts and government remittances.
- Supervise accounts receivable and payable
- Ensure integrity of accounting operations
- Responsible for executing payroll function for 50 employees (hourly, salary), support HR with the group benefit package
- Conduct inventory reconciliations, cost accounting; participate in cash management, financial control, fixed assets and depreciation
- Support external auditors with year end audit
- Provide ad-hoc project support to the Financial Controller.
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years experience in a full cycle accounting and sizeable payroll.
- Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, or related discipline and/or equivalent experience
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, various accounting programs
- Ability to demonstrate strong leadership, proactive thinking and solution oriented
- Strong planning, organization skills, analytical, a decisive decision maker
- Excellent interpersonal skills, open minded, act as an agent of change
- Ability to work in French and English, fluency in French is a must
