Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities:
• Process bi-weekly payroll for two entities, ensuring accurate pay calculations for both salaried and hourly employees.
• Review time and attendance records in Workday and validate payroll data before each payroll cycle is finalized.
• Reconcile payroll registers and confirm gross-to-net calculations to maintain accuracy across all payments.
• Prepare and transmit payroll-related files required for tax remittances and year-end reporting, including T4 documentation.
• Administer benefits-related payroll activities, including enrolments, deductions, and supporting documentation.
• Monitor payroll practices for compliance with applicable legislation, internal controls, and company policies across both organizations.
• Support manual payroll adjustments, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues affecting employee pay.
• Collaborate with HR and payroll stakeholders to assist with employee records and provide support in a growing business environment.
