US GAAP Consultant (Part-Time Contract)

Location: Fully Remote, EST

Duration: 3- 4 month contract

Work Model: Part time hours – approx. 20 hours per week - EST (July/Aug to November).

The Opportunity

Our client, a large multi-entity organization, is seeking a US GAAP Consultant.

Working closely with senior finance leadership and external advisors, you will help assess, quantify, and document key differences between IFRS and U.S. GAAP. This engagement will focus on technical accounting analysis, preparation of accounting memos, and supporting the organizational reporting requirements.

This opportunity is ideally suited for a senior accounting professional with strong U.S. GAAP expertise and prior experience supporting complex financial reporting projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and document accounting differences between IFRS and U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare technical accounting memos and supporting analyses.
• Quantify reporting impacts and required accounting adjustments.
• Partner with finance leadership and external advisors on key workstreams.
• Support accounting policy and reporting framework updates.
• Provide guidance on reporting considerations.
• Work within a large, complex consolidated reporting environment.

Qualifications

• CPA designation preferred.
• Strong U.S. GAAP technical accounting expertise.
• Working knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience preparing technical accounting memos and position papers.
• Big 4 audit, advisory, or accounting consulting experience is a strong asset.
• Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables with minimal supervision.
