Our client is looking for an experienced Trust Accountant to support financial operations within a law firm environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with a strong understanding of trust accounting, compliance, reconciliations, and legal billing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile attorney trust and escrow accounts in accordance with firm policy and applicable regulations
• Process trust deposits, disbursements, transfers, and client-related transactions accurately and timely
• Perform daily, monthly, and annual trust account reconciliations
• Monitor account activity to ensure compliance with legal and ethical trust accounting requirements
• Partner with attorneys, billing staff, and firm leadership to resolve trust discrepancies and support reporting needs
• Assist with audits, documentation reviews, and implementation of internal controls related to trust accounting
• Support general accounting functions as needed, including journal entries, account analysis, and financial reporting

• Law firm experience is required
• Trust accounting experience is required
• Strong knowledge of trust accounting rules, reconciliations, and compliance standards
• Proficiency with accounting software and legal billing systems
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive financial information with discretion
