Our client is looking for a Treasury Analyst to join a leading Oil & Gas organization in Calgary, Alberta on a Long-term Contract basis. This position supports day-to-day treasury operations with a strong focus on cash application, payment processing, banking administration, and liquidity reporting. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Apply incoming payments accurately and ensure cash transactions are recorded correctly within treasury and accounting systems.

• Review debit activity, payment transactions, and supporting documentation to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Prepare and process wire transfers while ensuring approvals are obtained and banking deadlines are met.

• Record banking transactions and assist with account reconciliations to maintain accurate cash records.

• Provide cash position and clearing updates to operational and corporate stakeholders.

• Manage vendor banking setup requests, verify banking information with vendors, and maintain accurate records.

• Prioritize urgent payment requests and respond to treasury-related inquiries in a timely manner.

• Support liquidity and cash flow reporting by compiling and distributing timely treasury information.

• Investigate rejected payments and transaction issues in collaboration with accounts payable and business teams.

• Process occasional cheque deposits and ensure payments are accurately captured and recorded

Requirements:

• Previous experience in treasury, cash application, banking operations, or a related finance role.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling payments, banking information, and financial records.

• Hands-on experience with payment processing, cash activity monitoring, and bank transaction support.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet daily deadlines in a high-volume environment.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.

• Experience using banking software, financial systems, or ERP platforms; Qbyte experience is considered an asset.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools is considered an asset.
