We are looking for a Technical Reviewer: Microsoft 365 Copilot to support a Contract engagement with a management consultancy in Toronto, Ontario. This position will assess Microsoft 365 Copilot environments with a strong focus on security, governance, and data protection, helping ensure configurations align with enterprise standards and responsible AI use. The successful candidate will provide practical guidance on control effectiveness, access design, and risk reduction across Microsoft 365 and related Copilot capabilities.

Responsibilities:
• Review Microsoft 365 administrative and security settings, including licensing, account provisioning and removal, conditional access, privileged access controls, and restrictions related to internet and data egress.
• Evaluate safeguards that reduce data exposure by examining permissions across Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and OneDrive, as well as sensitivity labels, data loss prevention measures, and information barrier configurations.
• Assess Copilot Studio implementations, including custom agents, connectors, plug-ins, and extensions, with attention to approval workflows, test practices, and access governance.
• Examine whether enterprise content made available to Copilot search is properly classified, permissioned, and suitable for user access.
• Validate monitoring, audit logging, and incident response settings tied to Copilot activity and potential data-loss scenarios.
• Compare observed configurations against Microsoft security recommendations and established industry standards, identifying gaps and practical remediation opportunities.
• Provide clear findings and advisory input to stakeholders on risks, control maturity, and improvement priorities within the Microsoft 365 Copilot environment.
• Hands-on experience administering and reviewing Microsoft 365 Enterprise environments, with a strong understanding of security and access configuration.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Copilot controls, governance considerations, and enterprise deployment risks.
• Experience working with Microsoft 365 permissions, SharePoint and OneDrive access structures, sensitivity labels, and data protection controls.
• Familiarity with Copilot Studio, including the review of custom agents, connectors, plug-ins, and related extension settings.
• Understanding of monitoring, logging, and incident response practices for cloud platforms and data protection events.
• Ability to assess technical configurations against vendor-recommended baselines and recognised security best practices.
• Experience with Intune and broader endpoint or policy management in Microsoft-centric environments is preferred.
• Background in a regulated financial services setting would be considered an asset.
