THE ROLE:

Our client in the asset management sector is seeking an experienced Tax Manager for a 3‑month contract to support corporate tax compliance and year‑end reporting across a high‑volume, multi‑entity structure. In this role, you will lead Canadian tax compliance efforts, including provisions, year‑end tax schedules, and audit support. You will also oversee ACB adjustments, T3 and T5013 filings, and withholding requirements, while managing a direct report. This position requires a hands‑on approach, strong organization, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with external tax advisors.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• 10+ years of Canadian corporate tax experience
• CPA or equivalent accounting designation required (In‑Depth Tax preferred)
• Strong experience with: Tax provisions and year‑end reporting, T3 and T5013 filings, ACB adjustments and withholdings and audit support and working with external tax advisors
• Experience managing multiple entities in a high‑volume environment
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)
• Experience with tools such as Microsoft Planner, iFirm, AnswerConnect, and CRA group filings
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Solid organizational skills, attention to detail ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
• Prior people leadership experience (managing at least one direct report)
• Exposure to asset management or complex corporate structures is an asset
• Experience with Yardi or similar systems is a definite plus
