Tax Manager

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze tax provisions, returns, and reconciliations, including T106, T1135, and NR4 forms.
• Review withholding taxes, true-ups, and note disclosures to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Contribute to research and development claims, transfer pricing documentation, and financial audits.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and provide support for special tax-related projects.
• Collaborate with teams to promote process improvements and maintain health and safety standards.
• Assist with international tax matters and audits, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Support the preparation of financial statements with accurate tax-related entries.
• Review tax processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or commerce.
• Accounting designation such as CPA or equivalent, with attention to detail.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of corporate accounting experience and over 3 years in tax-related roles.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel, including extensive formula use.
• Familiarity with tax reporting systems such as CaseWare and CCH ProSystem Fx.
• Strong organizational and critical-thinking skills, with excellent communication abilities.
• Knowledge of international tax matters and compliance is an asset.
• Experience with auditing and research in a tax context preferred.
