We are looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to join a senior care organization in Toronto on a Contract with long term potential for the right candidate. This role will support development finance activities for multiple construction projects by delivering reliable forecasts, insightful reporting, business performance and clear financial analysis for business leaders. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams and internal partners to keep project financial information current, organized, and decision-ready.

Responsibilities:

• Build and refresh monthly financial forecasts for a portfolio of active construction initiatives, ensuring project assumptions remain current and well supported.
• Review project spending patterns, explain budget-to-forecast differences, and highlight financial risks, savings opportunities, and emerging issues.
• Maintain construction reporting tools and dashboards by updating key measures such as remaining costs, projected cash requirements, and contingency utilization.
• Partner with project managers, joint venture contacts, and internal departments to collect timely inputs that strengthen forecast accuracy.
• Prepare recurring financial summaries, reports, and presentation materials for leadership review using established templates and reporting formats.
• Analyze project cost trends against actual results to improve visibility into performance and support informed financial decisions.
• Reconcile information received from external construction partners with internal budgets, forecasts, and supporting records.
• Compile internal project finance summaries and related reporting packages to assist with broader consolidation and management reporting.
• Track sales lead and deposit information for pre-open projects and produce monthly updates that connect commercial activity with project progress.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in reporting processes, templates, and financial tools under the direction of finance leadership.
• Build and implement tools to identify, measure, and analyze lead and lag performance metrics 
• Create a sustainable process for identifying the need for dashboards and streamline creation to match operational needs 
• Foster a business performance mindset and support the development of an analytical mindset in the Finance Operations team 
• Ensure that weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting is prepared accurately and delivered on time  

• Proven experience in financial analysis with direct exposure to project accounting and construction accounting environments.
• Advanced Excel skills, including strong working knowledge of lookups, SUMIFs, and complex spreadsheet analysis without reliance on macros.
• Ability to organize information across several concurrent projects while managing timelines and multiple stakeholder requests effectively.
• Strong analytical capability with confidence in identifying discrepancies, investigating issues, and recommending practical next steps.
• Experience preparing financial reports, dashboards, and presentation materials for management audiences.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to work effectively with finance, project management, operations, and external partners.
• Availability to work in a hybrid model with in-office presence in Oakville, Ontario two days per week.
• Capacity to start quickly and contribute effectively within a contract-based assignment.
