Our client is looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to join their team in Edmonton, Alberta. This role supports financial planning, reporting, and decision-making by transforming complex data into actionable insights that enhance business performance and financial visibility. The ideal candidate is an analytical and detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, partners effectively with stakeholders, and delivers accurate, meaningful financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, highlighting key trends, risks, and variances.
• Support budgeting and forecasting through projections, assumptions, and planning activities.
• Develop and maintain financial models for planning, analysis, and decision-making.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and recommendations to support business strategy.
• Ensure financial data accuracy, compliance, and effective controls.
• Leverage Excel, reporting tools, and Power BI to deliver actionable insights.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather information, communicate results, and support decisions.

• 7+ years’ experience in Financial Analysis/FP& A in a fast-paced environment.
• Accounting designation or active progress toward one is an asset.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
• Experience with financial systems and reporting tools; Power BI is an asset.
• Proven expertise in reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Strong communication and stakeholder presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and financial controls.
