We are looking for a skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in North York, Ontario, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing financial analysis and reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS 17 standards, and supporting audit processes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed financial analyses to support strategic decision-making and business planning.

• Prepare and review financial reports in accordance with IFRS 17 standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Collaborate with external auditors during year-end audits and provide necessary documentation.

• Manage month-end financial processes, including reconciliations and reporting.

• Identify and address financial discrepancies by analyzing data and implementing corrective actions.

• Assist in the development and enhancement of financial policies and procedures.

• Evaluate financial performance trends and provide actionable insights.

• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts to guide organizational goals.

• Monitor compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.

• Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management through presentations and reports.

• Extensive knowledge of IFRS 17 standards and their application in financial reporting.

• Proven experience in financial analysis and auditing within a corporate environment, insurance industry experience is a nice to have.

• Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
