We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to support a growing, multi-entity client of ours in the Mississauga area. This role will take ownership of full-cycle accounting for one operating company while contributing to consolidated financial reporting, month-end close, and ongoing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Accounting

• Manage day-to-day accounting for one operating company
• Oversee AP and AR processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Complete monthly close activities including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain and assess the integrity of the general ledger and supporting schedules
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

• Play a key role in month-end close with a focus on accuracy and completeness
• Support financial statement preparation across multiple entities
• Support in strengthening the reporting processes and identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement

Cash Flow & Treasury Support

• Support weekly cash flow forecasting and ongoing monitoring of cash position
• Track and analyze cash flow, particularly as it relates to investments and capital allocation
• Contribute to decision-making in a business that is actively investing in expansion and vertical integration

Inventory & Costing

• Manage and support monthly inventory accounting under a periodic system (FIFO, WIP)
• Calculate and analyze cost of goods sold (COGS)
• Maintain and update bills of materials (BOMs)

Analysis, Controls & Process Improvement

• Assist with financial analysis to support business decisions and operational effectiveness
• Support internal control development and compliance across entities
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy
• Collaborate closely with the Controller on special projects and evolving priorities

What We’re Looking For

• Post secondary education in accounting, finance or related
• Working toward CPA designation is an asset
• Strong full-cycle accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity environment
• Hands-on experience with month-end close and financial reporting
• Exposure to inventory accounting and cost accounting an asset
• Comfortable working in a growing, evolving organization with shifting priorities
• Analytical mindset with an interest in cash flow, operational finance, and process improvement
