Responsibilities:
• Prepare and record month-end entries such as accruals, payroll-related postings, fixed asset activity, and other standard ledger adjustments.
• Complete balance sheet and bank reconciliations, analyze discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items within reporting timelines.
• Support the monthly close cycle and assist in assembling financial reporting packages for multiple entities.
• Coordinate audit support materials, including reconciliations, schedules, and documentation requested during year-end reviews.
• Work with external accounting, tax, and compliance advisors to help meet statutory reporting and filing obligations.
• Review financial data received from outside service providers for accuracy and completeness before inclusion in consolidated reporting.
• Prepare regular cash flow forecasts and monitor cash activity to support short-term financial planning.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts, assist with foreign currency remeasurement entries, and support accounting across multiple entities and currencies.
• Maintain clear working papers, accounting documentation, and process records while contributing to process improvements and the transition of selected activities from third-party support to internal ownership.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, and FP& A teams on reporting inputs, ad hoc analysis, and other finance-related priorities as needed.
- 3–5+ years in accounting roles, with experience supporting financial reporting and audits under ASPE and/or IFRS.
- Experience in a multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional, or multi-currency environment.
- Exposure to working with external accountants, auditors, or tax advisors.
- Experience using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, or equivalent.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills for analysis, reconciliations, and report preparation.
- Ability to manage deadlines independently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
- Clear communication skills and a detail-oriented, collaborative approach when working with internal teams and external advisors.
