We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant on a Contract basis. In this role, you will contribute to the close and financial reporting cycle, support consolidated reporting across multiple entities, and help maintain strong accounting controls. This position is well suited to an accounting specialist with strong attention to detail who can work collaboratively across finance teams and deliver accurate results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities by completing assigned accounting tasks accurately and within required deadlines.

• Handle important aspects of the quarterly consolidation process, including preparing and assessing consolidation and elimination entries for multiple entities and currencies.

• Develop and review reporting packages for various business units, partnering with international accounting teams to investigate discrepancies and resolve reporting concerns.

• Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assemble supporting documentation to ensure records are complete, accurate, and aligned with accounting standards.

• Analyze fluctuations across balance sheet and income statement accounts, identify notable variances, and provide clear commentary to leadership.

• Assist with the completion of quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements, including the preparation of schedules and backup materials.

• Execute assigned internal control activities, maintain proper evidence, and address control-related matters in a timely manner.

• Support audit and review processes by preparing schedules, responding to information requests, and coordinating required documentation with auditors.

• Work closely with finance partners across regions and functions to address accounting issues, promote consistency in reporting, and support process improvements.

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including work in financial reporting or corporate accounting.
• Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements and related consolidation entries.
• Strong understanding of intercompany accounting, eliminations, and multi-entity reporting environments.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and well-organized supporting working papers.
• Solid analytical skills with experience investigating account variances and explaining financial results clearly.
• Familiarity with internal controls, audit support, and year-end reporting requirements.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across global or cross-functional finance teams.
