Our client is looking for a dedicated Industry Engagement Specialist to join their team in Calgary, Alberta. This role supports employer engagement, business development, and meaningful early-career placement opportunities. The ideal candidate is a relationship-focused professional who builds employer partnerships, identifies opportunities, and connects workforce needs with entry-level talent.

Responsibilities:

• Build employer pipelines through prospecting, outreach, and relationship management to create placement opportunities.
• Promote early-career hiring by aligning employer needs with available programs, supports, and funding.
• Engage businesses, non-profits, and community partners to generate leads and expand placement opportunities.
• Guide employers through recruitment, placement, and hiring processes while addressing inquiries and challenges.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop effective placement strategies.
• Deliver employer workshops promoting hiring readiness and inclusive recruitment practices.
• Develop resources and maintain accurate CRM records to track employer engagement and placement activity.
• Promote equitable hiring practices that support underrepresented and marginalized communities.

• 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, employer engagement, or community outreach.
• Proven ability to build relationships, generate leads, and convert opportunities through consultative outreach.
• Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales and engagement records.
• Strong communication, presentation, and customer service skills with diverse employers and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with events, field sales, and community engagement initiatives.
• Commitment to inclusive practices and expanding opportunities for diverse youth.
