SOX Controls Specialist

6–12 Month Contract | Hybrid (2 Days On-Site)

Our client in Financial Services is seeking hands-on SOX Controls Specialists to support a controls update and modernization project.

This is a delivery-focused role suited for sharp, proactive professionals who enjoy rolling up their sleeves rather than managing from a distance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the review, update, and modernization of SOX / NI 52‑109 internal controls
• Assess control design and operating effectiveness in a post–ERP implementation environment
• Identify gaps, remediation actions, and control enhancements
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Business stakeholders to ensure compliance and alignment
• Document controls, processes, and testing results clearly and concisely
• Provide practical, hands-on support throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience with SOX and/or NI 52-109
• Insurance industry experience is required
• Hands-on contributor — this is not a people-management role
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Contract length: 6–12 months
• Commitment: Full-time
• Work model: Hybrid (2 days on-site)
• Pay rate: Open, dependent on experience
