Our client is seeking a Senior Property Accountant for a 12-month contract opportunity supporting a portfolio of residential and commercial properties. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with operations and property management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle property accounting for a portfolio of residential and commercial properties.
• Complete month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review property-level financial statements and reports for Property Managers.
• Calculate and reconcile Common Area Maintenance (CAM) recoveries.
• Review tenant ledgers, security deposit transactions, and payable uploads.
• Consolidate reporting for multiple properties.
• Review and provide oversight to AP and intermediate accounting staff.
• Collaborate with operations teams and identify process improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of property accounting experience, ideally within residential and/or commercial properties.
• Strong knowledge of Yardi is required.
• Experience with tenant ledgers, CAM calculations, and month-end reporting.
• Professional accounting designation (CPA) preferred.
• Self-starter with a curious mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and driven to improve processes.
