We are looking for an experienced Manager, Financial Analysis & Reporting in Toronto, Ontario on a 12-month Contract. Mining industry experience is required.

This position will provide senior financial oversight across revenue reporting, reconciliations, period-end activities, and control compliance while supporting a complex, high-volume operating environment. The role also partners closely with the Controller, audit stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to strengthen reporting accuracy and address key financial priorities during an extended contract engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead daily finance operations and provide guidance, direction, and support to the finance team to maintain strong performance and accountability.

• Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure financial results are completed accurately and within required timelines.

• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses prepared by team members, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to accounting standards.

• Monitor compliance with internal controls, corporate accounting policies, and applicable regulatory obligations, while supporting control testing and documentation.

• Evaluate sales and cash flow forecasts, identify material variances, and provide clear explanations and recommendations to leadership.

• Oversee revenue-related reconciliations, accounts receivable balancing, intercompany activity, and distribution cost reporting, including freight and related deductions.

• Provide coverage for senior accounting functions during peak periods or team absences to maintain continuity in critical reporting activities.

• Partner with internal and external auditors by preparing support, responding to inquiries, and assisting with audit readiness throughout the engagement.

• Work collaboratively with marketing and logistics teams to resolve financial issues, improve reporting visibility, and support informed business decisions.

• Contribute to special projects, audit support, ad hoc financial analysis, and finance-related work associated with broader organizational initiatives, including major system implementation efforts where required.

• Mining industry experience is required.

• Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, financial reporting, and controllership support within a complex corporate environment.

• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition and account reconciliation, with the ability to assess variances and resolve reporting discrepancies.

• Proven ability to lead or supervise finance team activities while maintaining high standards for accuracy and deadlines.

• Experience supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including review of entries, reconciliations, and working papers.

• Solid understanding of internal controls, audit support requirements, and compliance with accounting policies and regulatory expectations.

• Ability to manage intercompany transactions, accounts receivable balancing, and high-volume financial reporting with attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across finance, marketing, logistics, and audit stakeholders.
