Job Title: Senior IT Manager

Job Summary:

Robert Half Canada is seeking a strategic and collaborative Senior IT Manager on behalf of our client. This role is responsible for leading technology operations, overseeing IT initiatives, supporting business systems, and helping ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology services across the organization.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to align IT priorities with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day IT operations, including infrastructure, systems, applications, and user support
• Manage and develop IT team members through coaching, performance support, and resource planning
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects and strategic initiatives
• Help maintain system availability, performance, security, and business continuity measures
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify technology needs and recommend scalable solutions
• Support IT governance, policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Monitor vendor relationships, service levels, contracts, and external technology partners
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost management for the IT function
• Promote process improvement, standardization, and operational efficiency across IT services
• Support cybersecurity practices, risk management, data protection, and compliance requirements
• Evaluate existing systems and recommend upgrades, enhancements, or replacements as needed
• Prepare reports, updates, and presentations for leadership on IT performance and initiatives

Qualifications:

• Postsecondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Progressive experience in IT operations, systems management, or infrastructure leadership
• Experience leading teams and managing cross-functional technology initiatives
• Strong understanding of IT service delivery, systems administration, networks, enterprise applications, and security principles
• Experience with IT project management, vendor management, and budgeting
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills
• Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a senior-level IT leadership role
• Familiarity with ERP, cloud platforms, cybersecurity frameworks, and business continuity planning
• Project management or relevant technical certifications are considered an asset
