Our client is hiring a detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will provide financial insight that supports accurate reporting, informed decision-making, and effective planning across the business. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys working with data, strengthening reporting processes, and partnering with operational leaders to improve financial performance. This is a hybrid role, reporting into their office in Petrolia, Ontario

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries while contributing to timely month-end and year-end close activities.

• Examine financial statements and operating results to identify trends, variances, and areas requiring follow-up.

• Contribute to the annual budget cycle and support forecasting and broader financial planning initiatives.

• Complete balance sheet reviews and reconcile inventory accounts to maintain accurate records.

• Provide analysis related to inventory costing, product margins, and operational performance metrics.

• Assist with cash flow projections and evaluate working capital movements to support financial oversight.

• Coordinate audit support materials, including year-end working papers and related documentation for external reviewers.

• Track receivable balances, support collection efforts, and help maintain healthy customer account activity.

• Create and refine financial reports, dashboards, and Excel-based tools to improve visibility and analysis.

• Recommend enhancements to reporting practices, internal controls, and other finance processes while supporting additional analysis and special projects as needed.

• At least 3 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related finance role.

• Demonstrated ability to prepare journal entries and support full-cycle month-end reporting.

• Experience reviewing financial statements and translating results into clear business insights.

• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

• Hands-on experience with account reconciliations, including balance sheet and inventory-related analysis.

• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build practical analysis tools and financial reports.

• CPA designation, or in-progress, an asset
