Our client, a respected and established organization in Calgary, is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst for an exciting 18-month contract opportunity. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on workforce planning, compensation strategy, and organizational decision-making. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with Finance, HR, and business leaders to deliver insights that support strategic workforce initiatives and effective labor cost management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Finance and Human Resources teams on workforce planning, budgeting, and compensation forecasting activities
- Support labor cost management initiatives by providing analysis and recommendations aligned with organizational objectives
- Lead monthly compensation and workforce reporting, including variance analysis and trend identification
- Develop meaningful insights and present findings to support informed business decisions
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and reporting obligations
- Monitor and support adherence to collective bargaining agreements and related compensation practices
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhanced reporting capabilities

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of experience in compensation analysis, workforce planning, finance analysis, or a related analytical role
- Demonstrated experience supporting compensation programs and/or collective bargaining environments
- Strong proficiency with Adaptive Planning and workforce planning tools
- Experience partnering with Finance (FP& A), HR, and operational leaders on budgeting and forecasting activities
- Advanced analytical, reporting, and variance analysis capabilities
- Ability to identify trends, interpret complex data, and deliver actionable recommendations
- Knowledge of compensation-related legislation, reporting requirements, and compliance obligations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and reporting systems
